Senior Key Account Manager-Uganda Region 3 applications

Job Summary:

The  Senior account Manager / Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and profitability within designated strategic accounts in the Food & Flavours / Ingredients industry. This role will involve utilizing strategic insight selling approaches to identify customer needs, develop tailored account plans, and implement strategies to achieve growth objectives. The successful candidate will establish and maintain relationships with customers, manage project pipelines, and coordinate cross-functional collaboration to meet account performance objectives and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Insight Selling: Utilize a menu insight selling approach to identify customer needs and growth opportunities, developing tailored commercial account plans.
  2. Plan Implementation: Implement commercial account plans in alignment with internal resource networks to drive business objectives effectively.
  3. Relationship Management: Establish and maintain relationships with selected customers, both local and global, ensuring satisfaction and driving growth objectives.
  4. Cultural Integration: Embed in the local business culture, build strong relationships, understand customer requirements, and promote company’s product offerings effectively.
  5. Project Pipeline Management: Manage project pipelines through commercialization, fostering productive relationships with key stakeholders in assigned customer accounts.
  6. Stakeholder Interaction: Manage interactions with all customer stakeholders, including R&D, Marketing, Strategic Sourcing, and Operations, to ensure alignment and meet account performance objectives.
  7. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with company’s personnel, including supply chain, customer service, R&D, marketing, and management resources, to strengthen relationships and exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree or higher in Business Management, Food Science, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of work experience in FCMG.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written) with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proven project management skills with leadership qualities to lead project teams effectively.
  • Self-driven team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience working within the Food & Flavours / Ingredients industry is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a comfortability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Track record of achieving sales targets and strategic customer objectives.
